With Respect To, and in Solidarity With SHAC: A Return visit to Fortress HLS collaborators

Tonight, September 21st, ADB-NYC made a return visit to the building where Christopher Ritchie and Christine Tanoma both reside, to hold another peaceful demonstration against their company Fortress and the bail-out loans provided to Andrew Baker and Brian Cass' house of horrors named Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Huntingdon Life Sciences poisons, burns and mutilates 500 animals a day to test products like suntan lotion, bleach, and toothpaste. The coffee sweetener Splenda was tested at Huntingdon Life Sciences, torturing to death 12,800 animals only so an unhealthy product could be put out on the market.

HLS is the worst of the worst, and have been caught out in now 8 undercover investigations* brutally abusing animals in their care like punching beagle puppies in the face and dissecting live, screaming, monkeys without anesthetic.

HLS cares not one bit for anything but profit and leaves a mountain of tortured, mutilated animals in its wake.

Tonight ADB-NYC had something to say about this insane brutality and let Christine Tanoma and Chris Ritchie's neighbors know the score: Christopher Ritchie and Christine Tanoma's company FORTRESS bailed out Huntingdon Life Sciences and threw them a lifeline loan right before HLS would have had to shut their doors for good and stop obliterating our animal brothers and sisters.

Fortress Investment, Wes Edens, and Peter Briger are to blame for atrocities at Huntingdon Life Sciences that are beyond belief and impossible to describe properly. The carnage is unreal and these people think it's alright as long as their stock goes up a fraction of a percent. ADB-NYC says this "money above all" thinking is evil, and anyone with a conscience should agree.

Chris Ritchie and Christine Tanoma, activists don't believe you're bad people, but you have power to influence Fortress to retract the loan to Huntingdon Life Sciences - speak to your fellow executives and speak to your superiors. Activists do not believe anyone who gives a damn could possibly be in favor of torturing helpless beagle puppies, monkeys and bunnies.

*Way to go on the Florida HLS supplier Primate Products investigation! Thank you, Florida activists, for showing the world the TRUTH. Shut that hellhole down!

Fortress Execs Get a Home Visit - Neighbors Get Schooled on the Bloody Truth

In Solidarity with SHAC's "financial week of action", NYC ADB activists started a day early (they just couldn't contain their excitement) and visited a pair of Fortress financial executives at home early on Sunday.

Christopher Ritchie and Christine Tanoma co-habitate at the same address, and are both executives at Fortress, so it was a 2 for 1 demo deal bonanza! Hooray for ADB-NYC!

Posters revealing the truth of what Fortress pays for were pulled out, shocking neighbors with the images of bloodied puppies. Building security and passers-by were equally outraged that people who live in such a nice building in the financial district of NYC would be profiting from the deaths of 500 animals a day inside of HLS' hellish laboratories. Time and time again, fliers were passed out to pedestrians, only to have that pedestrian turn and walk right into the same building Christine and Chris live in. Hope they have a word with their neighbors!

One building security person took a flier and was visibly disturbed by the posters depicting the remains of a mutilated beagle puppy. If you don't like what you see then please, by all means go have a talk with Chris Ritchie and Christine Tanoma.

Receiving no hassle from security or police presence, the demo was a huge success and tons of Christopher and Christine's neighbors now know the truth about their neighbors' bloody dealings with Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Upon leaving the demo, the remaining fliers were stuck under the windshield wipers of all the cars on Christine Tanoma and Christopher Ritchie's block, letting even more people know the truth of Fortress, Huntingdon Life Sciences, their neighbors' involvement, and the hellish murder that happens behind the razor wire and walls of HLS.

Bloody Staples, when will you give up dealing with HLS?

ADB NYC activists happened to be in New Jersey visiting friends this Saturday Afternoon, September 18th, and happened upon a Staples store.

Like a dream, the activists were magically prepared with not only HLS signs but with an enormous banner speaking the truth about Staples' bloody dealings.

Staples was caught delivering supplies to the puppy killers at Huntingdon Life Sciences and activists have worked hard to let Staples know that they will NEVER back down until Staples stops supplying animal abusers.

Activists whipped out the signs and unfurled the banner, depicting the mutilated bloodied remains of a puppy slain at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Chants filled the air "HLS - SHUT THEM DOWN", "500 ANIMALS DIED TODAY - GREEDY STAPLES IS TO BLAME" and "YOUR MONEY, YOUR FAULT - YOUR GREED, YOUR FAULT".

Sometime during the demo, childrens' water soluble sidewalk chalk was used to leave a (perfectly legal) message to Staples and Staples' customers: "STAPLES PUPPY KILLERS" and "STAPLES DROP HLS"

A call to other activists: Staples stores are *everywhere* and they *are* partly responsible for the murderous puppy killers being able to continue their destruction of life. Don't have a Novartis exec in your neighborhood? That's fine - get some fliers and a sign and let's get those Staples stores demoed - Staples demos are fantastic for public outreach and education.

Monday blues for Fortress Executive

ADB-NYC visited Adam Levinson, Co-Chief Investment Officer, at home on Monday - making sure his week started off with a reminder of the 500 animals that die every day because of Fortress' loans to Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Fortress, stop bailing out the puppy killers of HLS - stop the loans! There's no excuse for animal abuse!

ADB-NYC talked to a lot of Adam Levinson's neighbors, who were appalled that their neighbor was involved in this evil business. Some swore to take action and let Levinson know they were against their dirty dealings at HLS.

ADB-NYC left fliers on cars to let even more know about the evil that is HLS.

HLS is the worst of the worst. Punching beagles in the face - Adam Levinson, what a disgrace!

Independence Day Weekend - day 3 part 2

Align Center
Unsatisfied with the peaceful outreach so far that day, ADB NYC visited a freind who works for Fortress, the company that gives Huntingdon Life Sciences Bail-out loan after Bail-out loan.

Ali Elam of Fortress Investments had a friendly home visit - posters were unfurled, displaying the exact brand of cruelty his company continues to support and fliers were distributed to neighbors and doormen, drawing attentinon to exactly what Mr. Elan and Fortress are responsible for.

Dump HLS, Fortress! Disgusting that you haven't
Justify Full

Independence Day Weekend - day 3

On this third day of Independence Day Weekend, July 5th, 2010, activists visited a man whose company Legg Mason dumps enormous amounts of cash into Fortress, the company who keeps giving Huntingdon Life Sciences their bail-out loans.

At the home of Michael Clarfeld, activists displayed signs featuring the gruesome remains of a beagle puppy tortured to death by sadists at Huntingdon Life Sciences, and bunnies locked in boxes for eye irritation experiments.

Many neighbors took fliers and were disgusted by Clarfeld's connection to this heinous animal abuse, and promised to contact him to ask him to dump their shares of Fortress.

Michael Clarfeld, use your influence at Legg Mason and ask them to divest every cent of their fortress stock. Every one of the 7 million shares. The bail-out loans must end.

Upon leaving, activists fliered the cars in the area, so more people can see the truth about the man behind that security gate.

For the animals we will Fight! How does Clarfeld Sleep at night???

Independence Day Weekend

ADB NYC visits those who support the animal abuse at Huntingdon Life Sciences, on the first day of Independence Day weekend, Saturday July 3rd.

First stop, Wayne Merkelson's home. Wayne Merkelson is general counsel for Novartis, a notorious drug company that tests their worthless human endangering drugs at Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Fliers were passed out and neighbors were appalled by Novartis' continued reluctance to issue a statement condemning HLS and promising not to contract with them any more.

Next stop was the Staples store on Broadway and 8th. Again, signs were revealed featuring pictures of the mutilated remains of a beagle puppy tortured to death at HLS. Fliers were passed out pleading Staples to do the right thing and stop supplying animal abusers at Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Shoppers, tourists and neighbors looked on in horror at the images of mutilated animals and were shocked to learn of Staples' involvement in the death and destruction that takes place at HLS.
